Art in the Marsh for Kids

Discover the fun of watercolour painting to create wonderful works of nature inspired art!

Watercolour Painting

Kids can learn the basics of watercolour techniques during this fun and interactive workshop! We’ll be using water, paints and watercolour paper to create a beautiful work of art together. We will be using one of Ashlea’s works as an example to paint from, but every piece will have its own unique charms once complete!

We only require enthusiasm, experience and equipment not required!

Where: Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre
When: Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 10:00am - 12:00pm.
How much: $20.00 
Who: Artists of any ability, aged 6+. 

This workshop takes place indoors. Per Province of Ontario's mandate, participates must provide proof of vaccination to attend.

About the Instructor: 

Ashlea Veldhoen is a local artist, flutist, environmentalist, and bird-lover. Ashlea studied at Trent University and Fleming College, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences as well as a diploma in Ecosystem Management Technology.  When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her pets, birding, playing music and creating art.
