Guided Kayak Tours

Experience the unique opportunity to head off the beaten path and onto the secluded marsh channels that are home to the midland painted turtle, bullfrogs, red winged blackbirds and river otters! While on tour, visitors can expect to learn about the Wye Marsh's ecological, cultural and historical significance while enjoying a relaxing and breath taking paddle.

Seven days a week at 10am in July and August, and Saturdays at 10am in September and October.
Must be at least 8 years of age to kayak, and children under 13 must be accomapnied by an adult
Tandem & single kayak options available. Children 8-10yrs must be in a tandem with an adult.
No pre-registration. Please sign up for a kayak upon your arrival (please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure time).

No experience necessary
Guided kayak tours are an additional $10 per person
Includes all equipment (PFD, paddle, bailer/toe rope/whistle).
Must be at least 8 years of age
Single and tandem kayaks are available in sit-upon and sit inside styles

We do not take reservations for our 1.5 hour kayak tours. They are registered on a first come, first serve basis only. We recommend that you sign up for a tour when you pay for admission. Please arrive 15 MINUTES prior to start time to ensure a prompt departure from our docks.

Kayak Ecotours

Looking for a more challenging kayaking experience? Our Guided Ecotours are the perfect opportunity for those with a little more experience to head further into the Marsh to discover rarely seen wildlife that are secluded among the cattail channels.
