About the Artist/ Instructor

This workshop will be lead by Richard Vandermeer. Born in Barrie, Richard has been painting and drawing since he was ten years old, developing his abilities on a self-taught basis until enrolling in the fine arts department at the Ontario College of Art’s four-year programme. Since graduating, he has since opened and operated a small gallery in Orillia, Ontario. Inspired by his love for fishing and nature, he believes good painting and drawing is the result of a firm understanding and knowledge of the fundamentals and principles in art. These workshop series are an excellent opportunity to fine tune your skills and learn from one of the best.
