How many eggs does a turtle lay? What do you call a baby mink? Which birds set up nurseries, and which animals are the best dads? Dive into the fascinating family structures of local wildlife at Wye Marsh this Family Day. Take a hike. Roast some Bannock. Join in our Music Circle. Share smiles. Create fun memories. All activities included with admission.

Tiny Tot's Music Circle with Jaye, Display Hall
- 9:45 am
- Bring your toddlers for a wonderful musical experience with Jaye, in the Display Hall.There will be song, dance, and a chance to play musical instruments!
- Best suited for children ages 1-3 year, and still fun for older siblings.
Feature Creature, Display Hall
- 11:00 am
- Find out fascinating facts about our Animal Ambassadors.
Discovery Hike, Back Patio
- 11:30 am
- What do you call a baby fox? How many eggs does a Toad lay? Which animals take DECADES to become grandparents? Take a walk on the wild side with our Staff, and return to the Visitors Centre with a new appreciation of the variety of life living at Wye Marsh.
Meet a Raptor, Back Patio
- 1:00 pm
- Get up close to a bird of prey. Find out what makes different each specie unique.
Music Circle for Little Ones with Jaye, Display Hall
- 1:30 pm
- Little ones will love swaying to the rhythms and sounds of the marsh as part of story time and songs with Jaye. Best suited for children ages 4-6. Everyone welcome.
Discovery Hike, Pack Patio
- 1:30 pm
- Wonder the trails at Wye Marsh with a knowledgeable guide. Discovery why it takes so long for some reptiles to become grandparents, and how many eggs some amphibians can lay.

- Make & Take Crafts in the Display Hall from 10 am- 3 pm.

J.B. Music
Jaye earned her Piano Teacher Diploma (A.R.C.T.) from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and Music Specialist Degree from the University of Toronto. Jaye is a member of the Canadian Federation and Ontario Registered Music Teacher’s Association (CFMTA and ORMTA). Jaye applies her early childhood music training in Kindermusik©️and Music For Young Children©️to her teaching methods.
