Public Notice
Wye Marsh Management Plan Development

Wye Marsh is currently developing a Land Use Management Plan. Wye Marsh would like to extend a thank you to all the members of the public that attended the Management Plan Open House on November the 12th, 2007 and provided input into the planning process.  Comments collected from the Open House will help direct the management goals of land use and land protection. A draft review will take place spring 2008.

Wye Marsh is the non profit business that manages the following:

  • Operations of the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, an interpretive centre owned by Environment Canada on a National Wildlife Area leased by Wye Marsh
  • Management of the Wye Valley, a 3000 acre parcel of land owned by the Ontario Government as a Provincial Wildlife Area
  • Birds of Prey/Falconry operations at a property on Old Fort Road, Midland
  • Wye Marsh Comes to You, a very popular offsite program

Wye Marsh Mission Statement:
“To spark a commitment to conserving wetlands, woodlands and wildlife by creating exciting learning opportunities in a natural setting”

The Wye Marsh is a non-profit organization, with funding raised through donations, grants, sponsorship, membership and admissions.
