Christmas Holiday Activities
December 22nd to January 4th

Escape, explore and experience the best of nature this holiday season.  There are fun and interactive activities everyday as well as over 25km of trails to explore.  All activities are free with admission.  Ski and snowshoe rentals are available for an additional cost. Please call for trails conditions if you are hoping to ski or snowshoe.

Guided Snowshoe /Walk

Take a guided 1 hour tour of Wye Marsh with a naturalist and learn all about wetlands and the plants and animals that live here.Snowshoe rentals are available.

Learn how to identify the animals that hop, skip or bound around Wye Marsh or how to identify winter birds at your feeder.

Meet the Creature (Monday - Friday)
Get up close with the animals of Wye Marsh.  Meet a different creature every day of the week or enjoy a reptile & amphibian or birds of prey show.

Please note that Wye Marsh will be CLOSED December 24th, 25th, and 26th to give our staff and volunteers a well deserved break.  We will be OPEN New Year's Day, January 1st but will not be offering a animal show.

Outdoor Family Fun Day
Monday, February 16th (Family Day)

Get outdoors and have some fun with your family at Wye Marsh.  There will be a full day of fun and interactive activities for the whole family to enjoy.  Check back soon for more details. 

Sweetwater Harvest Festival
March 28th - 29th, 2015

Celebrate an uniquely Canadian tradition in a distinctively Canadian landscape.  Escape to a time when maple syrup was made over an open fire, experience our history and explore nature at its best.

Get Outdoors Festival
August 8th - 9th, 2015

Explore one of Ontario's largest wetlands by foot, boat or bike. There are over 25km of scenic forested trails, floating boardwalks and canoe channels that let you escape into the Wye Marsh. Experience hummingbird banding and monarch tagging demonstrations,  take part in an interactive workshop on birding, backcountry camping or shelter building. See birds of prey soar and learn how to identify native Ontario turtles and snakes in a live animal show. Experience the best of the outdoors at the Get Outdoors Festival.
