In addition to our special events we also have regular activities at the marsh.  Catch our Birds of Prey Show every Sunday at 1pm or Wet N' Scaly Show every Saturday at 1pm.  Visitors can also learn more about the Trumpeter Swan Restoration Program every day at 3pm.

    Celebrate an uniquely Canadian tradition in a distinctively Canadian landscape. Escape to a time when maple syrup was made over an open fire, experience our history and explore nature at its best.
  • Great Lakes Marsh Monitoring Program, April 11
    Join Bird Studies Canada’s Doug Tozer and Kathy Jones on Saturday, April 11 for a Great Lakes Marsh Monitoring Program workshop at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Center in Midland, Ontario. This is a great event for new naturalists or registered surveyors. All are welcome but space is limited! To participate, online pre-registration is required. This event is supported by the Government of Canada’s Lake Simcoe/South-eastern Georgian Bay Clean-Up Fund and the Nottawasaga Conservation Authority.
  • Get Outdoors Festival, August 8 & 9
    Explore one of Ontario's largest wetlands by foot, boat or bike. There are over 25km of scenic forested trails, floating boardwalks and canoe channels that let you escape into the Wye Marsh. Experience hummingbird banding and monarch tagging demonstrations, take part in an interactive workshop on birding, backcountry camping or shelter building. See birds of prey soar and learn how to identify native Ontario turtles and snakes in a live animal show. Experience the best of the outdoors at the Get Outdoors Festival.
