Summer Camp

Wye Marsh is committed to conserving wetlands, woodlands, and wildlife by creating exciting learning opportunities in a natural setting.  Our day camps (winter break, March break, and summer) offer endless opportunities to escape, explore, and experience nature first hand through experiential play and investigation.

This summer we have just as much in store!  During our Summer Day Camps your child will have the opportunity to learn about reptiles, amphibians, and birds of prey through interactive live demonstrations; explore over 25km of wilderness trails; voyage our marsh channels by canoe and kayak; they examine our bold Trumpeter Swans and our singing red-winged blackbirds; plus much, much more!  We are so excited to play outside and are looking forward to seeing returning faces and meeting new ones!

If your child is looking for a different experience, take a look at our specialty camps.  These week-long sessions designed for older campers allow your child to escape, explore and experience a specific program area, while still participating in all the exciting activities of our regular camps.  During Survival Camp campers will have the chance to learn and put to use a wide variety of survival skills.

Camp Wetlands and Wild Things and Kinder Camp
At Camp Wetlands and Wild Things (for children ages 6 to 12) and Kinder Camp (for children ages 4 and 5) campers will have the opportunity to learn about reptiles, amphibians, and birds of prey through interactive live animal demonstrations; explore over 25km of wilderness trails; voyage our marsh channels by canoe and kayak; examine our bold Trumpeter Swans and our singing red-winged blackbirds; plus much, much more!  Each week at camp has a different nature theme with associated special activities, giving campers a chance to more closely examine some of what the Marsh has to offer. Activities vary based on camper ages, but all of our camps offer endless opportunities to escape, explore, and experience nature first hand through experiential play and investigation.
