About the Instructor:

Denise Graham has been around honey bees since she was a little girl. Her father Joe DeVillers started keeping bees in 1981. He started with only 5 hives and today has an operation of over 200 hives. Denise has always been involved in her father’s business, Bonnie Bee Honey, which is named after her mother, but didn’t become serious about beekeeping until 2010 while she was working at the Wye Marsh and tending to their honey bees. In 2016 she decided to become a full time beekeeper and she joined Bonnie Bee Honey. She recently added an offshoot company called Lady D's. Denise loves “playing” with the bees and is always amazed by their tiny, delicate and intricate world.
