Crochet Washcloth Waves - Beginner Workshop

Adopt a new pastime to create beautiful, nature-inspired, functional art for everyday life.

Embrace a traditional folk art, and benefit from the mindful practice of crocheting your own dish and wash cloths. Learn basic techniques, right from the first knot through to the last stitch, in this 2.5 hour workshop at Wye Marsh.

All materials will be provided, no experience needed.

Plus everyone gets some yarn and a crochet hook to take home!

Who: Ages 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by a paid adult

About the Instructor:

Emmett Bridges is a McMaster University graduate who studied Earth & Environmental Science for five years, and became a valuable member of our Wye Marsh Team as a Summer Student in 2023. Now, Emmett works as a Water Technician with a Conservation Authority, and is eager to return to Wye Marsh to show you how to make beautiful functional art inspired by nature!
