Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution - $1,000 HAS THE POWER to make a difference through our ongoing support and donations to the environmental education and stewardship provided by Wye Marsh programs.

Wye Marsh has received funding to develop the Species at Risk (SAR) component for the Wye Valley Management Plan. The funding came from two sources:
1) Ministry of Natural Resources -. $12,000 to support species at risk inventories for the Wye Marsh Provincial Wildlife Area that will provide the necessary information to ensure habitats are protected and taken into consideration in any future land use planning.
2) Environment Canada - $10,000 through the Habitat Stewardship Program which will also be used to complete inventories of SAR in the marsh and work with recovery teams to develop plans for each species that will be part of the management plan for the valley.
- Communities in Action Fund - Thanks to a grant over $14,000 from the Communities in Action Fund 2008-2009, Wye Marsh can now provide kayaks excursions at the Marsh as well as neighboring towns. READ MORE
- Telequip - Thanks to Telequip for providing banks of radios again and again for our special events throughout the year
- Good for Life/Action 2010 - Wye Marsh are the recipients of $600 from Good for Life/Action 2010 to purchase new snowshoes. With this funding the Wye Marsh has partnered with Big Brothers of North Simcoe and Big Sisters of Huronia to introduce a new program titled “Littles Snowshoeing”.
- TD Friends of the Environment Foundation - $2,000 for Equipment for Educational Programs – Dipnets, compasses, water test kits, goggles, soil test kits
- IBM Canada Ltd. - Laptop computer
- Port McNicoll Lions Club - The generous $5,000 donation is targeted to pay for a much needed facelift to the cabins located next to the Visitor Centre. The buildings are used primarily to accommodate residential groups visiting the Marsh, however they are also home to the children’s day camp in the summer, special events year round and so much more.

Tiny Cottager Association - Six associations – Addison; Bluewater Georgina Wendake; Nottawaga; Pennorth; Wahnekewening and Woodland -- decided to donate all or part of the funds they raised to the Wye Marsh – $2,570 in all.

Midland Rotary Club - $5,000 for repairs of the boardwalk on the Muskrat Loop Trail

The Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Culture - $179,000 to develop a capital campaign leading to the Winds of Change Project, to hire a Resource Development Person, and to develop a major donor base
